If you don’t know where you’re going
Any path will take you there.
It’s a well known way to view life as a ‘path’ we all must take.
The path can be rough or smooth, depending on the choices we make.
We can travel on our own, or with varied loved ones to accompany us along the way.
From womb to tomb we are bound to others. Let us make them close and trusted friends. Their presence gives us support as we navigate the dips and bends.
By each crime and every kindness we birth our future.
Each encounter.
Every choice, based on love or fear, determines the course of our lives.
Each decision points us towards a different direction.
Where does this path begin?
Where does it go?
Where does it end?
Eventually you'll see it's a vast circular highway. Made of many twisting and turning paths. They seem to go in every direction, but ultimately the two end points are the same.
From the source we arrive at our birth.
From death we return to the source.
Wandering along the way.
Forgotten but slowly remembering, the reason we decided to come down here.
To experience it all.
Polarities and contrasts.
Beauty and terror and everything in-between.
To learn how to love the contents of the whole.
To give that love to the one-and-all.
Discovering our unique gift to share is the true path we all came here for.
Our ability to transform brokenness into wholeness, pain into strength, destruction into creation, selfishness into selflessness.
When we have learned to do such things well, however life times it may take, our lesson has been learned and the doorway home is opened for us to return.
There is another world waiting for us there.
A better one than here.
One day I’ll meet you there.
As we share our gifts on our roam with those who are lost in the dark, the deepest gift of enlightenment comes to let us know,
we are all just walking each other home.
